Hi, I'm Kate Sullivan ~ owner, photographer, editor, storyteller, and professional hype woman of Kate Sully Photography, LLC. I specialize in boudoir photography for women and couples, and my in-home studio is located in lake county, near Cleveland, Ohio.
I started this business after years of modeling, learning from and working for other photographers, and wanting to always embrace the fine arts, help others embrace themselves and their passions, and tell stories. And it’s not just about me… part of the reason I fell in love with photography and being behind the camera, rather than in front of the lens all the time, is YOU!
I am OBSESSED with being a professional hype woman for others through the art of boudoir, empowering women and couples to feel that self-love, embrace their bodies, sexuality, and creativity, and seeing that look in a subject's eyes when they go from nervous to confident during a shoot, sharing with them those photos and session memories that create the joy and healing and power that modeling has given me.
Modeling for boudoir shoots personally has helped and continues to help me so much with things like general confidence and security in my body, self-love and worth, comfortability and confidence about sex, wanting or having sex, and feeling sexy (as a survivor of sexual assault, it's been SO healing) and always putting a smile on my face during a session AND after the photo reveal. It's literally such a personal gift, every session, to embrace myself so fully, in a raw, vulnerable, human way.
I LOVE giving that experience to other women and couples, hyping them up, utilizing my dance and yoga skills to guide them through posing and direction, seeing them grow into that confident boldness, and making new friends while we shake our booties!
I'm also very aware that this particular style of photography requires a lot of vulnerability and trust. But I truly believe everyone should experience this art for herself, which is exactly why trust, client comfort, respect, mutual creativity and collaboration are my top priorities with every boudoir session I photograph.
I believe every woman, couple, PERSON has the right to feel good about herself, her body, her sexuality, her relationship, all of it! And I strive to make this experience that's so uplifting and empowering for me just as special for my clients.
